We love getting to know our patients so much, and we realize that you mostly know us from your visits to Dr. McVey’s office. So to build a better connection with you, we’re sharing how we celebrate birthdays in our Meet the Staff series. The lucky February babies are Genevieve (a dental assistant) and Emily (a dental hygienist). Read on to learn how they celebrate their birthdays, what they want to achieve in the next year, and what’s the best cake to enjoy.
I am excited to spend my birthday weekend with family this year! The highlight of my weekend will be getting to watch my nephew play basketball!
Have you ever had a surprise birthday party?
I have never had a surprise birthday party…yet!
Have you ever spent your birthday in another country?
I have never spent my birthday in another country, but on my 28th birthday, my husband and I got to leave for Hawaii! That was most definitely on of our favorite vacations!
Do you think everyone should have the day off school or work on their birthday?
I really enjoyed taking our trip to Hawaii around my 28th birthday, so I wouldn't complain if I could travel every year for my birthday! On Jaxon's second birthday, I got to take him for donuts before he went to daycare and I loved that extra time I got to spend with him!
Do you prefer to eat a home cooked meal or to eat out at a restaurant on your birthday?
I think it's fun to go out to eat, especially for special occasions, and my birthday counts as a special occasion right?
What is the best kind of birthday cake? Chocolate cake, cheesecake, or ice cream cake?
I like both chocolate cake and vanilla cake!
In your opinion, what time of the year is the best time to have a birthday?
God gave me a birthday in February, so for me, February is the best time of year to have a birthday!
What is the best age to be in your opinion?
From personal experience (so far!) , year 22 was a favorite year because that is the year I married my best friend. My other favorite year was 30 because that's one I became a Mama. Year 33 gives me so much to be thankful for and the life God has blessed me with!
What would you like to achieve before your next birthday?
What I would like to achieve before my next birthday is to make lots of memories with my loved ones and to never take a day for granted.
