As we roll into August, we at Dr. McVey's dental practice are not just excited about the sunny weather. We are thrilled to take a pause from our busy schedules, put down our dental tools, and celebrate two special members of our dental family – Emelia Gonzalez and Kelli Casey. In this blog post, we’re celebrating our dental team’s birthdays.

What will you do for your birthday this year?
Not work!! I work every year on my birthday.
Have you ever spent your birthday in another country?
No.
Do you think everyone should have the day off school or work on their birthday?
Sure, why not!
Do you prefer to eat a home cooked meal or to eat out at a restaurant on your birthday?
A good steak at a restaurant!
What is the best kind of birthday cake? Chocolate cake, cheesecake, or ice cream cake?
Lemon cake.
In your opinion, what time of the year is the best time to have a birthday?
Fall – it's my favorite season.
What is the best age to be in your opinion?
40
What would you like to achieve before your next birthday?
Not falling apart!
Kelli Casey
Position: Dental Hygienist
Birthdate: August 25
How old will you turn this year?
A lady never tells her age! Haha I will be 39 this year.
What will you do for your birthday this year?
I will be running a birthday 5k with friends. Then hopefully a pedicure, shopping and dinner/drinks.
Have you ever had a surprise birthday party?
NO! I hope I never do; I do not like surprises.
Have you ever spent your birthday in another country?
No, maybe someday, preferable on a beach with a drink in hand.
Do you think everyone should have the day off school or work on their birthday?
Of course! I never take my birthday off, but I always take my son's birthday off.
What is the best kind of birthday cake? Chocolate, cheesecake, or ice cream cake?
I like chocolate cake with no frosting, I do not like frosting/icing.
In your opinion, what time of the year is the best time to have a birthday?
Any time of year, birthdays are always fun any time of year.
What is the best age to be in your opinion?
Whatever age you feel your best self at.
What would you like to achieve before your next birthday?
A few years ago, I set 2 goals for myself that I would like to accomplish before I turn 40. I want to complete my bachelor's in dental hygiene and run a half-marathon. I am currently working towards both of these goals. I want to start my 40's being the happiest and healthiest version of myself that I can be.
