Meet Dr. Randall McVey

Serving Southwest Kansas With Skill & Heart

Dr. Randall McVey's path in dentistry began at Oral Roberts University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology magna cum laude in 1979. He then completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the university's Michael Cardone School of Dentistry (now defunct) in 1983. Since then, he has dedicated more than two decades to serving the people of southwest Kansas while building a practice rooted in relationships and life-changing dental care.

Dr. McVey holds the distinction of Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), a credential that reflects more than 500 hours of advanced post-doctoral study and rigorous examination spanning every area of general dentistry. Not one to stop there, he is actively working toward his Mastership in the Academy (MAGD) through the Illinois Academy of General Dentistry. This pursuit speaks to his belief that great dentistry never stops evolving.

That belief shows up in how he invests in his education. Dr. McVey completed Continuums I-IV and Esthetics at the L.D. Pankey Institute and is a graduate of the Kois Center. Both of these are widely regarded as among the finest advanced training programs available to dentists. He also leads a local dental study club, keeping himself and his peers sharp and connected to the best thinking in the profession.

Beyond the office, Dr. McVey has used his skills to serve others around the world. He has joined dental mission trips to Mexico, Albania, and Uganda and participated in broader service missions in Mexico, Chile, and Malaysia. Back home in Garden City, he has given his time to Kansas Mission of Mercy and the Donated Dental Services program, extending care to people who would otherwise have nowhere to turn.

His faith is woven into everything he does. Dr. McVey is deeply involved in Garden City Presbyterian Church, where he teaches, serves on committees, lends his voice to the choir, and brings his musical talents to the worship team on piano and guitar.

At the heart of his practice are five values he returns to every day: integrity, compassion, respect, community, and service. Dr. McVey believes that every person who sits in his chair deserves open information, thoughtful guidance, and the freedom to make the best choices for their own health. That's the standard he holds himself to, and it's the experience every patient can expect when they walk through the door.

Dr. McVey pledges to treat every patient with respect, honesty, and a commitment to excellence.
